Rescue dogs are those dogs that come to us from unfortunate situations…

They can be surrendered by their owners to the ‘rescue group’, or, at time we are contacted by another animal welfare organisation such as RSPCA, AWL or a local Council Pound and they ask us to assist them with finding a home for a specific dog.

These dogs are constantly changing and thankfully, they don’t come up too often, so if you are looking for a rescue dog, please head on over to our facebook page and have a look at what is advertised..

This is “Zara” one of our rescue dogs we helped a couple of years ago… Zara is a Belgian Shepherd Laekenois, she came from a very unsavoury situation in Melbourne where she had been poorly treated. Her breeder contacted us and asked us to intervene as she had been trying to help Zara, but the owners refused her assistance. They advertised Zara through a rather unscrupulous group, so we contacted the owners and after several conversations, a flight from Brisbane to Melbourne, a hire car and emergency flights back to Brisbane, Zara was safely in our hands…

After 12 months of intensive rehabilitation, we were finally able to find Zara a home.. Zara travelled the world on a yacht, and now she lives a very happy life back in Melbourne with her new owners who love her very much.
